As the Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm has been adopted by device manufacturers, everyday devices such as locks, fridges or wristwatches have become “smart” and are increasingly connected. Unfortunately, this new and fast-evolving market has pushed manufacturers towards quick development cycles that favor features and a fast time to market over security concerns. This has led to an ecosystem where vulnerable devices are widespread and often remain unpatched.

In our group, we work on solutions to secure the entire life cycle of IoT devices. This includes making sure that you can be certain that you are talking to the correct device and that the information you are getting from the device is correct.
